A killer Gallet Multichron in amazing condition. It’s the first time I’ve had one of these, and once again, vintage Gallet doesn’t disappoint. This example is powered by the legendary Valjoux 72, with a black matte dial that contrasts beautifully against the white subdials. Originally released in 1969, the design is completed by a rotating 12-hour bezel, adding another layer of functionality to an already great chronograph.
Condition & Specifications:
The 38mm stainless steel case is in very good condition, showing only very light signs of previous polishing. The original crown was replaced at some point in the past. The black matte dial is in very good condition, with the black surface beginning to develop a subtle tropical tone. The lume plot at 3 o’clock is missing. The watch is running smoothly on the timegrapher, and all chronograph functions are working properly. Previous service history is unknown. A 48-hour inspection period is provided upon receipt.
