Rolex Datejust Ref. 1603 Circa 1967

$5,500.00
Sold Out

A very interesting Rolex Datejust ref. 1601 from 1967, featuring a rare Singer prototype dial. The grey dial gives the watch a subtle yet distinctive vintage presence, standing apart from standard production models. These experimental Singer designs offer a glimpse into Rolex’s creative process—pushing boundaries at the time, even if some concepts were considered too bold for the market. Pieces like this remind you of the rich history behind Rolex, from experimental dials to iconic developments like the Paul Newman Daytona, making this example not just a watch, but a reflection of a fascinating era in design.

Specification & condition:

The stainless steel case remains thick and sharp despite light previous polishing, paired with a 1971 Jubilee bracelet showing light stretch and spotting. The dial is in good original condition with a subtle vertical scratch at 9 o’clock visible only at certain angles, while the hands retain nicely aged lume. Recently serviced and accompanied by a 1-year mechanical guarantee, along with a 48-hour inspection period provided the watch is returned in the same condition.
