Tudor Submariner Ref. 79090 from 1991

$9,500.00

Super cool Tudor Submariner ref. 79090 from 1991 in stunning condition — unpolished, recently serviced, and complete with box & papers.

Alongside classic vintage features like the acrylic crystal and matte dial, the 79090 has always been a favorite among tool watch enthusiasts for good reason. The thin 40mm stainless steel case, lightweight folded-link Oyster bracelet, and robust Tudor/ETA movement make it one of the best everyday vintage divers out there.

Specifications & Condition:

The 40mm stainless steel case is unpolished and remains sharp and even throughout, with noticeable scratches on the top right lug. The bracelet is also unpolished, showing only minor stretch. The matte dial has a perfect surface with attractive light cream lume, while the hands remain in great condition. The Tudor/ETA movement has been freshly serviced and is running perfectly. This watch is accompanied by papers dating to 1991.

Notes:

This is my first 79090, and I’m glad it’s in stunning condition. I’ve been looking for a Tudor Sub for the collection, and this one might actually be too perfect — I tend to prefer them with a bit more patina and character. But that only comes from wearing and enjoying the watch over the years, and I’ll leave that part to the next caretaker.
