A superb Universal Genève Polerouter Date from 1964, featuring a beautiful black gilt dial and an exceptionally well-preserved case. Originally introduced in 1954 as the Polerouter, the model was designed by the legendary Gérald Genta when he was just 23 years old. This example, with its striking dial and classic case design, is a great representation of one of Universal Genève’s most recognizable watches.
Condition & Specifications:
The 35mm stainless steel case remains unpolished and in excellent condition, with thick, well-defined lugs. The caseback retains its original logo, with the reference and serial numbers still clearly visible. The lume on the hands has aged to a darker shade than the hour markers, adding a nice contrast. The black gilt dial is well preserved, showing only a faint scratch near the center, visible under magnification.
The watch has recently been serviced and comes with a one-year mechanical guarantee. A 48-hour inspection period is provided, during which returns are accepted, provided the watch remains in the same condition.
