Omega Chronostop Circa 1970s

A small yet interesting monopusher chronograph by Omega, this model was released in 1966 as a dynamic and accessible chronograph aimed at a younger audience. Initially part of the Seamaster range, it was repositioned under the Genève line in 1967 as Omega expanded the model’s identity.

The Chronostop is best known for its distinctive 60-second timing function, powered by the manual-wind calibre 865 and, in later iterations, the calibre 920. It offered an unconventional approach to chronograph functionality compared to traditional multi-register designs.

Case & bracelet:

The stainless steel case is in unpolished untouched condition. It is fitted with a new leather strap.

Dial & hands:

The silver matte dial is in great condition, all the lume plots are present and in great shape, the hands are in excellent condition.

This watch has not been serviced but is keeping time. A 48-hour inspection period is provided for returns; the watch must be returned in the same condition in which it was sent.
