Rolex Datejust Circa 1968

$5,200.00

A very interesting Rolex Datejust ref. 1601 from 1967, featuring a rare Singer prototype dial. The grey dial gives the watch a subtle yet distinctive vintage presence, standing apart from standard production models. These experimental Singer designs offer a glimpse into Rolex’s creative process—pushing boundaries at the time, even if some concepts were considered too bold for the market. Pieces like this remind you of the rich history behind Rolex, from experimental dials to iconic developments like the Paul Newman Daytona, making this example not just a watch, but a reflection of a fascinating era in design.

Case & Bracelet:

The stainless steel case has been lightly polished in the past. The case is thick and sharp. The jubilee bracelet shows light stretch and some spotting, the code dates it to 1971.

Dial & Hands:

The dial is in good original condition, there is a vertical scratch at 9 oclock, only visible on some angles. The hands are in great condition, with a nice toned lume.

Guarantee & returns:

This watch has been serviced and includes a 1-year mechanical guarantee. Returns are accepted within 48 hours of delivery, provided the watch is returned in the same condition.
