A very attractive Rolex Explorer II 16570 from 1991. In my opinion, these are a bit more appealing than 1990s GMTs. The case on these early 16570s is very slim—similar to the cases of the 1675—which allows it to wear beautifully on the wrist. This makes it a versatile and very enjoyable watch. Extremely well designed and constructed, and in white dial configuration it is always more desirable. This example has aged nicely, with the tritium markers beginning to turn a soft cream tone.
The stainless steel case is in excellent condition, showing minor previous polishing. The bracelet is in great condition with minimal stretch and 12 links. The clasp code dates to 1993.
The white dial is in perfect condition. The hands have aged slightly lighter than the hour markers but remain in excellent condition.
