Movado Gentlemen Circa 1960s

$5,000.00

A gorgeous rose gold Movado “Gentlemen” ref. R1101, in stunning condition. Featuring a beautiful gold dial that plays effortlessly with the light, this 1960s series shows clear design parallels to the Omega Constellation Deluxe line. A key detail is the square center section of the dial, finished with a refined clous de Paris texture.

This example is crafted in 18K rose gold, with a spectacular case featuring stepped lugs that give it strong wrist presence. It was most likely retailed in Europe, as indicated by the “Fab Suisse” signature at 6 o’clock, paired with an 18K gold case and a 28-jewel movement. By contrast, pieces destined for the U.S. market were often produced in 14K gold with lower jewel counts to mitigate import duties.

Case & bracelet:
The solid 18K rose gold case is in excellent condition, showing only light previous polishing. Hallmarks remain deep and clearly visible, and the caseback shows minimal signs of wear. It is fitted with a goatskin strap.

Dial & hands:
The solid gold dial is in outstanding condition, with no visible damage or scratches. The hands are equally well preserved.

Guarantee & returns:
This watch has not been serviced but is running well. A 48-hour inspection period is provided; any returns must be made with the watch in the same condition as received.
